Former History Student Commissioned as a Second Lieutnant in U.S. Marine Corps

Joshua Nipper was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps on Saturday. He has worked diligently in his aspiration to be a Marine officer. This meant that he was also working diligently on his bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in History, which he received in August.

His military service credits helped him to graduate a semester earlier than he had planned—if you have formal military training, be sure to work with your advisor to get the credit you deserve.

Congratulations to Joshua as he moves forward with his career as a Marine and a proud representative of the MTSU History Department.
